I love them. Especially when God unexpectedly plows over you with kindness.
Story time: So I checked out a library book from school today. On the trolley ride home I started to doze off and fell asleep. To my dismay the end of the line came sooner than I realized and by the time I woke up I nearly went for another ride in the opposite direction. In a mad dash off the trolley I forgot my library book! Of course I didn't realize this until I arrived home and so began the sighs. I called MTS about the lost and found and they said to call back tomorrow after 12 pm. My next phone call was with the SDSU circulation desk. I asked about how much it would cost to pay for a lost book and they said roughly $56 depending on the book. The glimmer of hope started to fade with each passing thought of my lost library book. After a short time at home I received a call. My mom hands me the phone and as I respond with a perplexed "Hello?" a young man's voice greeted himself as Shane. This gentleman was a fellow student at school and upon boarding the trolley, HE RECOVERED MY LOST LIBRARY BOOK! He returned it to the circulation desk and explained how he found it and saw my name on the receipt inside. I'm also guessing he got my number from the circulation desk too. Needless to say sighs of sorrow have turned into sighs of relief!
At any rate, I am so surprised by people's kindness. It makes you grateful/thankful.
