A Review

Last night was incredible. If you've ever had the pleasure of seeing a show at the House of Blues downtown, you'd know what I'm talking about. By far one of my favorite venues. Anyway, while Augustana was headlining the stage allow me to describe the openers: Patrick Park and Wild Sweet Orange.

Patrick Park-an acoustic vibe with melodies of folk. This guy reminded me of your contemporary Bob Dylan, especially with his organic sound. A performance that seemed really fresh.

Wild Sweet Orange-Talk about some raw talent! These guys were mega down-to-earth and allured you as the catchy guitar chords bounced along. From Birmingham, AL they reminded me of your typical Southern rock only much more edgy and uncut. A beat you couldn't say no to. I personally bought their CD, and it's currently in my car. 'Nuff said.

Augustana-If you're not a fan because you don't know them, get on it! If you're not a fan because you just don't like them, see their show live! It's a MUST. Local to my beloved SD, a fine representation indeed. Okay, so there's only a handful of artists that I'll consider by far the better performers in concert. Augustana is definitely one of them. These guys are on the rise to a bigger fan base and they certainly have an irresistible sound. Mega talented, a lot of angst only without Kurt Cobain. The incorporated piano solos were very moving, and an overall passion swept the audience.

All in all a memorable night.
And MAD LOVE to Krio!

thanks for the verses love :) ....
its not so much that i feel limited to The Word as much as it is that I've forgotten to acknowledge community of God's women as a specific dynamic of His presence. Although He is ever-so-present in both, God isn't limited to the church or to the Bible, yet even to have both of those things can't replace or make up for the learning and strengthening I face in living with women seeking God. :)
