Okay, so I definitely wouldn't be a true Death Cab fan if I didn't post a review for their show last night. Mad love for Krio, this girl was my concert companion. First off, the venue: SDSU's Open Air Theatre proved me wrong. I had forgotten the sheer size, let alone the aesthetics. Death Cab was well-suited for this place.
The performance: one word...AH-MAZING! Too legit, mega chill. It was humid, and hot, but I didn't care. One of my favorite bands was right before my eyes and all I could think about was the music genius in audible form. This was far greater than quality. The lighting, the acoustics, everything thoroughly pleased/impressed me. I truly felt as though I were living the epitome of summer concert attendance. All of my favorite songs were played and more. Gibbard's voice rivaled what's heard via album. The encore was incredible. It was like a second set had taken place. Overall a huge highlight. I definitely look forward to their next performance in San Diego!
How I wish you could see the potential...
