Greeting the New Year

This one goes out to the ones I love.

For Japan (as well as many other Asian nations) the New Year is quite a big deal. People close up their businesses and shops for a least a week meanwhile, festivities are an ongoing event all in commemoration to the upcoming year. I've never experienced the New Year in a foreign country before, so bring on the *karaoke!

In approximately t-minus 10 hours 2008 becomes a reality for me. As for the rest of you, 18+ hours later, you'll have celebrated your New year too. Stay safe and enjoy yourselves.

*Another post to come regarding this oh so cherished Japanese activity ;]
